Our real wood venetians are made from bass wood which is a very light brown colour.
We then apply stain to the slatting to get them to the colours that you see on the website, from whites, through the browns and greys to the darkest browns and black shades.
When the slatting is cut to your blind width the ends of the slats will be the original basswood colour. Stained slat ends is not something supplied on all wood venetian ranges.
If your blinds are being installed inside a window recess then this will not be a problem as the sides of the blinds and ends of the slats will be covered by the recess walls.
If your blinds are being fitted outside of a recess or in a bay window where you may have a side on view of your blinds you may want to opt for a wood venetian range that has stained slat ends to complete the look.
The wood venetians ranges that have the option for stained slat ends are the Sherwood range, Sunwood range and the Timberlux range.
Another option, if you find these real wood ranges outside of your personal budget, you could look at a Faux Wood Venetian instead. Faux wood slatting is made from a pvc material and the whole slat is the same colour all the way through so the ends of the slat will be the same colour as the front of the slat.
